When picking for the lotto is it better to get random numbers or to chose them yourself?

Can anyone find some statistics for the success rate of winning a lotto with random numbers versus when people pick each number?

    The Lotto is absolutely random, meaning no matter how you pick your numbers you have the same chance of winning, if stats show people who pick their own numbers win more, it is purely coincidental
